Personal tour was amazing. .. Carl was so patient with our children and very knowledgeable about everything. Love going there! I go every time we come to RI : )
Slater mill is historic. But not something to do everyday. They do tours on a limited basis. To see how the water was use to advance the American way is amazing. I would recommend making time to see this relic. Soon all of the 17th century building will be gone.
Tour was interesting and included real working machines from the 1700's. Saw a replica of the waterwheel. Guide was knowledgeable and clearly interested in the topic. He was open to questions as well.
It's small and quick however the city has another venue across street where you can
Learn and read about the birth place of the American industrial revolution. Nice free 60 minute excursion.
Beautiful site, lazy river, pristine grounds. I could have stayed outside. I am very happy I did not. The interior building was nicely lit with little lights and the staff clearly enjoyed what they were doing. Thank you to all staff and a nod of gratitude to Lori
